The Minister of Finance of Cyprus Harris Georgiades held a business meeting with the Managing Partner of FinExpertiza Network Nina Kozlova and the Managing Partner of FinExpertiza Cyprus Michael J. Hadjihannas on 23 February. At the meeting, Cyprus confirmed its interest in greater cooperation with Russia.
«The Minister of Finance of Cyprus Harris Georgiades held a business meeting with the Managing Partner of FinExpertiza Network Nina Kozlova and the Managing Partner of FinExpertiza Cyprus Michael J. Hadjihannas on 23 February. At the meeting, Cyprus confirmed its interest in greater cooperation with Russia. “Cyprus is a stable and safe jurisdiction with a predictable tax treatment”, Harris Georgiades says. “In order to boost investment inflow that declined during the crisis of 2015, the government of Cyprus reduced a number of taxes for companies, individuals and for real estate transactions. We expect our cooperation with Russia to expand”. The meeting attendees also discussed the introduction of the latest standards in exchange of information with tax authorities of various countries. Mr. Georgiades also expressed keen interest in the state of affairs for the Russian business. »
